Rural High Speed Internet Provider Appoints New President
Monday November 3rd 2008

The Board of Directors for Everus Communications is pleased to announce Richard Cantin as the new President and CEO of Everus Communications. Richard has over 20 years of executive positions with companies like Apple Computer, Microsoft, Rogers, UUNET and Honeywell. With experience in the telecommunications, computer and internet industries and having previously served as Director on Boards of small businesses, Richard's background will allow Everus to continue its evolution as the premier provider of high-speed internet access solutions to rural communities. "I am energized by the opportunity to lead such a great team, providing a valuable service to people and business that have been without for so long." said Richard.

Past-President and CEO David de Weerdt, recruited Richard to assume the leadership role after David built the company's capacity and value for two years, culminating in the first investment financing for Everus in June, 2008. "Our financing enabled Everus to launch into dramatic customer growth which continues today under Richard's leadership and I am pleased to be leaving the operation in Richard's capable hands." said David. David remains a member of Everus' Board of Directors.

Everus Communications provides high-speed internet access solutions to rural locations using wireless technologies, including WiMax.
